Reflection on the process of blogging

At first I was soooo lost, and I thought what is this BLOGGING-thing??... But if you do not try to find a way to understand anything, you will not achieve anything. So after hours of struggling I finally came to understand, and obviously I LOVE it.. And must I Say Probs to the one who created Blogging!!!! :)

Is it necessary to integrate social media is the classroom?

We live in the 21st century and the learners gets more exposed to technology these days and yes it is necessary to integrate social media in the classroom. We as teachers must try to make schoolwork more interesting and exciting for our students. Learners will be eager to go on their teacher's blog for schoolwork.

How did teaching prac change my idea of how I see myself as a Teacher?

Before I decided to study teaching I studied for a Social Auxiliary Worker. A SAW is like an assistant for a Social Worker, we do everything that a SW does but not the therapy part. I had to do my practices at a home of safety for abused women and children. Almost everyday I faced seeing women came in either with a broken arm or blue eye and children who are nervous wrecks. I had to do a community project, and I chosed to work in schools. And there I realized that I wanted to work more with children.
When I did my teaching practice I was more excited then nervous, because that means that I would have a taste of my desire to become a teacher. Being a teacher is soooooooo in my blood and I would be the best, that is what I Believe.

How do I see myself as a teacher?

I see myself as a hardworking, motivating, inspiring and loving teacher one day. I love to work with people especially with children. I want to be the kind of teacher who will rock their world by being the best influence a learner needs from a teacher. Just to inspire them to be the best they can be and never let anyone tells them different.

Passion to Teach

Why I want to be a teacher? Good question. I was in grade school, and my favourite 2nd grade  teacher, was the most amazing teacher in the hole wide world!!! One day we were given a task to dress up what you want to be oneday, with no doubt I knew what I wanted to be. It was my turn to introduce my future, and my teacher asked why? And I answered: "Teacher you inspired me to be a inspiration to others one day".Will never forget that day and still today while I'm studying, the thought stays with me to achieve it one day. I think the characteristics should include the following: To be a leader, have patience, be an inspiration, be able to communicate, must build a me-you-relationship, must be able to discipline, must be fair, must have strong moral character, friendly, intelegent, care for learners. All that characteristics will suit me perfectly because my passion for education can be seen as love.
